nThe Norwegian Industrial/Gothic/Metal band Gothminister has a very impressive live stage-act, thanks to the gestures and outfit of singer/songwriter Bjoern Alexander Brem and the catchy music. For some people they sound like a Rammstein rip-off, according to others they will become one of the biggest acts in its genre. Mind.In.A.Box join Front Line Assembly live on October tour

Dependent has announced that Mind.In.A.Box will do its first full-length tour as support for the 19-show European leg of Front Line Assembly's current world tour.

Mind.In.A.Box released their debut "Lost Alone" in 2004. The follow-up "Dreamweb" marked the real breakthrough for the Austrian duo, showcasing a combination of electronic styles and influences from technopop to EBM to trance and beyond. The following albums "Crossroads" and "R.E.T.R.O", along with the single "8 Bits" were also well received, but the duo did not perform live until last summer, when after a year of preparations, they appeared as a five-piece at the Arvika Festival.

Since then the band has played live periodically, surfacing at the Norwegian Elektrostat Festival and Berlin's E-Tropolis.

Exit to release 'Three' EP featuring Reagan Jones (Iris)

Austin, TX's Exit is back from a five year hiatus with a new EP and a new lineup. Formerly a solo project of Benjamin Londa, Exit now consists of some other musicians from Austin's darkwave scene: Londa recently recruited Patrik Nilsson (Panjoma) to play bass and Nathan Hewitt (The Holocaust Humanity) to play drums.

The trio debuted their new lineup during the South by Southwest music festival this year, and recently has wrapped up recording their first EP. A fall regional tour with Austin's CTRL and a December regional tour with England's Attrition are both planned, with dates to be announced."Three" is a 3-song EP and will be released September 28th, and features guest backing vocals from Reagan Jones (Iris). Diskonnekted to present new sound live in Belgium

August 11th, 2010 Diskonnekted will play the Paulusfeesten  in Oostende (the biggest festival at the Belgian seaside). They'll take the occasion to test out the band's newest sound, embracing guitars for instance. Diskonnekted's Jan Dewulf had this to say about the shift in sound: "While the main focus remains electronic, Diskonnekted moves between break beats and guitar driven industrial". Diskonnekted plays during the opening night on August 11th, 2010 at 21:15 on the main stage. Daan will be headlining that night.

6 Russian Satanists slaughter and eat 4 teen Goths

After a Russian Cannibal goth duo which killed and served meat of 16 year old girl with potatoes, it's now six members of a Russian satanic cult who have been jailed for up to 20 years by a court in the city  of Yaroslavl, north-east of Moscow for killing and eating four teen goths (see above) in a ritual sacrifice. The shocking news was made public by the Russian daily newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda. More details after the jump. Andrei Sorokin, Olga Pukhova, Varya Kuzmina and Anya Gorokhova were lured one by one to a cottage and forced to get drunk before being butchered. The teens were killed in a ceremony that involved stabbing them 666 times. Their killers then roasted some of the body parts including hearts and tongues on a bonfire before eating them. The bodies were dismembered, their private parts cut off, the remaining body parts were desecrated and their possessions robbed before being buried in the forest. The six marked the spot with an inverted cross and a dead cat. The bodies were discovered in August 2008.

The six were minors when they killed the teens in late June 2008. All six were found guilty of murder and four members of the group were found guilty of desecrating the victims' bodies. The longest sentence of 20 years was given to the group's alleged leader, a 20-year-old man named Nikolai Ogolobnyak. The group was formed in 2006 and began with sacrificing dogs and cats.
