C/A/T was started in early 1998 by
crunch pod label head,
Ben Arp, as an experimental industrial project. Over the next 10 years C/A/T released four albums and four EPs and has made a number of compilation and guest remix appearances.
C/A/T was also very active as a live act - including a US Tour in 2008 supporting
Unter Null and having shared a stage with a diverse range of acts running the range of electronic/industrial from Terrorfakt to Covenant.
In late 2010, Erica Dunham rejoined the live band for the remainder of the band's live run to support a "best of" compilation album released in October 2010.
Arp ended the band amicably in Summer of 2011 to focus on his new project
Captive Six and his own solo work under his given name. Arp also chose to reissue several C/A/T albums and EPs with remastered and bonus material to close out 2011.
