1) Carnifex is a latin word meaning "executioner". It's a word that reeks of death and destruction from the Dark Ages to describe a fierce, dark death metal band. It's hard to imagine that San Diego, known for its white sand beaches and endless sunny days, is also home to the brutal beat down that is Carnifex.
This band is known for their in your face breakdowns, with super technical riffs and amazing stage presence.
They were formed in 2005. They Released an Ep in 2005. They than released a demo in 2006. Finally in 2007, they released a full length called Dead In My Arms. Not only one year later they released another full length album titled The Dieseased And The Poisoned.

2) The Finnish death metal band Carnifex was formed in 1990. They released a split album with Festerday, and a demo entitled "Decadence", both in 1991. After that, the band broke and nothing has been heard of them since.
3) Named after the Latin word for executioner, Carnifex is made up of DJMads Skov Nielsen (Squarehead) and Anders Bo Wegeland (ABW). The two members also work under the alias,
