1) Daath (a common misspelling of
DÅÅTH, formerly known as Dirtnap or Dirt Nap) is a six-piece metal band from Atlanta, Georgia. They incorporate many different styles of music such as thrash metal, black metal and death metal among others. Their work is heavily influenced by Da'at and Kabbalah. DÅÅTH, however, does not identify a direct religious affiliation in its music.
DÅÅTH was started by Eyal Levi and Mike Kameron, who had been playing in bands since they were in middle school. The two friends attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. Eventually, they left school to concentrate full-time on making music.
DÅÅTH's first album Futility was self-released in 2004. Their Roadrunner Records debut The Hinderers was released on March 20, 2007. DÅÅTH have so far released two music videos from the The Hinderers. The first was "Festival Mass Soulform", which was created prior to getting signed, and helped them gain Roadrunner's interest. The second video, "Subterfuge", was released on February 28, 2007.
On March 22, 2007, DÅÅTH was confirmed to play the second stage (rotating slots) at Ozzfest alongside Nile, Ankla, Circus Diablo, The Showdown, 3 Inches of Blood, In This Moment, and Chthonic.[1]
On October 22, 2007, blabbermouth.net reported that vocalist Sean Farber had left the band.
