Géniusz

Géniusz is a Hungarian rock band, formed in Zugló, Hungary in 1985 by Peter Oplasznik (vocals, guitar) and Attila Csengeri(guitar). Later Zoltan Knapp (drums), Akos Jancza (keyboard) and Robert Binder (bass) joined them.
After they have won several festivals and rock-camps, Szörényi and Bródy discovered their talent. They have been written a song to perform at the Sportshall of Budapest, but the lyrics were banned by the government because it was too provocative.
They played their own song in an American vampire movie, the 'Daughter of Darkness'.
In 1994, Warner Music released their first album
In 1995 in Pécs, they played a part in the adaptation of Képzelt riport egy amerikai popfesztiválról ('Imaginary report on an american pop-festival')
In 1996, Warner released their second album 'Csillagból kő' (From star to rock)
From 1997-2003 they had a little break, the members played in other bands or started solo carrier, but than in 2003. They got together at last and recorded songs for their third album, Ha-jó, and it was released in 2006.
