The members of the trio formed in 2008 are by no means strangers to each other as for long years they have played together in two different line-ups. However, their fans know that for Zsolt Kaltenecker, Gergo Borlai and Péter Lukács this is something much more than that: the phenomenal drummer Borlai, a founder member of the two boldest jazz bands in Hungary, is now joined by the soloists from each of these two bands in a joint formation. The guitarist of the former European Mantra, Péter Lukács, and the keyboardist who led the Kaltenecker Trio, which broke up recently, are both known for interpreting the possibilities of contemporary improvisation so extremely broadly and at such a high standard that it is hard to find their like in Hungary today. The three musician’s playing together is a multiple of the two formations: fantastic joint music-making, technical solutions pressing the physical limits, and dynamic and harmonic solutions devoid of compromises that create a unique style on stage.
